The trial of three former apartheid police officers for the murder of a student activist, Caiphus Nyoka, in 1987, continued in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court. Judge Mahomed Ismail gave short shrift to the defence when they veered from the core issue of the case – the assassination of Nyoka. He cautioned one of the defence attorneys for alleging Nyoka could have been involved in sourcing weapons during his time as an activist with student body Cosas. Last week, a colleague of the police officers pleaded guilty to the murder. eNCA reporter Pule Letshwiti-Jones has more details. Courtesy #DStv403
