According to the Justice Needs and Satisfaction Survey Report 2024 launched by the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) in partnership with Uganda's Justice, Law, and Order Sector (JLOS), only 10% of Uganda's population seeks resolution for their legal problems through courts of law. This stark statistic underscores a significant gap in the acquisition of justice for citizens. The report, unveiled by Principal Judge Dr. Flavian Nzeija on behalf of Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo at Mestil Hotel in Kampala, sheds light on the pressing legal issues faced by Ugandans and the efforts made by JLOS to address these concerns.
