Kampala lawyers petition court to abolish cash bail conditions

A team of Kampala-based lawyers has petitioned the Constitutional Court seeking the abolition of cash bail conditions given to suspects on remand. According to Amos Kuuku, an advocate attached to Ssematimba and Advocates, it is an injustice for suspects granted bail to be taken back to jail after failing to pay bail fees.
