Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting: 3 people detained, gunshot victims rises to 22 | FULL
In a follow-up update on Wednesday, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas, Police Chief Stacey Graves and Fire Chief Ross Grundyson provided updated numbers and details regarding an earlier shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl hometown celebratory parade. Graves said that the number of gunshot victims rose to 22, including one dead, and that three people have been detained in the ongoing investigations. Lucas also said that it was “devastating” that individuals have the ability to “disrupt anything,” even at a celebratory event that had more than 800 police officers staffed. “That's what happens with guns,” Lucas said. “That's something that all of us who are parents, who are just regular people living each day, have to decide what we wish to do about parades, rallies, schools, movies. It seems like almost nothing is safe.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/10294948/kansas-city-shooting-super-bowl-parade/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on Twitter HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #Superbowl #KansasCityChiefs
