Tension prevailed in Karnataka's Mandya district on Saturday as residents of Keragodu village called for a 'bandh' following the removal of a Hanuman flag in the area. A group of people in Keragodu village, permitted by the village panchayat to hoist the national flag, erected a 108-foot tall flagpole. However, instead of the national flag, they hoisted a Hanuman flag. This sparked discontent among some villagers.
