KARUA REPRESENTS BESIGYE: DEFENSE LAWYER ERON KIZA CHARGED AND REMANDED FOR 9 MONTHS

The General Court Martial in Makindye, presided over by its chairman Brig. Gen. Robert Freeman Mugabe, has remanded Rtd. Col. Kizza Besigye and Hajji Obeid Lutale to Luzira Prison until January 13, 2025, despite the head of their defense team, Martha Karua, being granted a practicing certificate by the Uganda Law Council. The same court also considered the contempt of court charges following the misconduct of one Aaron Kizza, one of Besigye's defense lawyers, who was whisked away from the court chambers
