KCCA, NEMA to upgrade Leachate treatment plant

Kampala Capital City Authority in early 2000 commissioned the Leachate treatment plant at Kiteezi landfill. Despite heavy investment, this facility has only remained a white elephant, lying idle at the moment after malfunctioning.
