Kelsey Daniel Sets National Long Jump Record at NCAA Championships

Trinidad and Tobago long jumper Kelsey Daniel set a new national record in the Men's long jump, with a leap of 8.16 metres, to claim gold at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division One Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia. Daniel, who was representing the University of Texas, also set a new school record with his mark. Also competing at the championships was T&T and University of Alabama shot putter Christopher Crawford, who placed 10th in the Men's shot put, with his best mark being that of 19.04 metres. Ohio State University's Leah Bertrand placed 13th in the women's 60-metre dash, clocking a time of 7.27 seconds.
