Kenyans have opposed a directive by the Ministry of Interior increasing fees for identification documents and other services, saying they are already paying punitive taxes. Through a memo circulated on February 29th, regional and county coordinators were instructed to implement the directive from March 1st. a spot-check, however, revealed that the charges have not yet been implemented at all service centers.
