Kevin Rudd breaks silence on Australia's relationship with the US

Australia’s Ambassador to the US Kevin Rudd has finally broken his silence on the relationship between Australia and America. It comes as Mr Rudd has been facing calls to step down from his role after a series of videos emerged of him criticising US President-elect Donald Trump during his first term in the White House. “Australia and the United States share a close and special friendship. It’s a bond that has strengthened across generations and across the political aisle in both countries. And it will continue to prosper in the years ahead,” Mr Rudd said in a statement posted to X (formerly Twitter).
