Writer and Broadcaster Esther Krakue says King Charles is not going to have a “central role” in de-escalating the UK riots. King Charles has called for unity amid the increasingly escalating riots in the United Kingdom. “The King’s comments for unity and mutual understanding were very carefully picked,” Ms Krakue told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo. “One thing the King doesn’t want to do as head of state is to say anything that will contradict the statements that were made by the prime minister. “He’s trying to de-escalate the solution in his own diplomatic way. “He’s not going to have much of a central role in the ongoing unrest in the country, that’s going to be down to Keir Starmer and the government.”
