Kithure Kindiki chosen to replace Rigathi Gachagua

236 members of parliament present during Friday's special sitting voted to approve Kithure Kindiki as the nominee for the deputy president position following Gachagua’s impeachment. With that vote, Kindiki now becomes the deputy president-elect awaiting swearing-in.
