Knocked over shipping container smashes truck at BC port

Dashcam video from Vancouver’s Vanterm container terminal shows a gantry crane knocking over a shipping container, causing it to fall onto, and destroy, the back of a truck — narrowly avoiding the cab and the driver inside on Friday. “[The] joint safety committee will investigate the incident to determine what occurred and any potential corrective actions to prevent potential future incidents,” Global Container Terminals, the crane operator, wrote in a statement. #Vancouver #BC #CloseCall #WorkplaceIncidents #DashcamFootage
