‘Knows better’: Countries push towards nuclear as Labor rallies against it

Liberal Senator Dave Sharma says the Labor government thinks they “know better” than other countries in the world as they push against nuclear power in favour of renewables. “What does Labor know that France does not, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Korea, Japan, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Google,” Mr Sharma said. “All of these countries are investing in new nuclear power … because they realise it is the only way to get reliable, affordable power if you are lessening your dependence on fossil fuels.”
