Kyiv residents lit a thousand candles and prayed at the Motherland Monument as they marked 1,000 days of war on Tuesday (November 19) since Russia's full-scale invasion, with weary troops battling on numerous fronts, Kyiv besieged by frequent drone and missile strikes. Valentyna, who lost several relatives in the war, said she prayed for them as well as Ukrainian troops when placing the candle.
