LA Wildfires: Mayor Karen Bass says she has “no idea” after Gov. Newsom criticizes local leadership

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass gave a briefing and answered questions Saturday on the wildfires decimating her city. "Fires intensified last night. The Palisades fire expanded leading to additional evacuations in Encino and parts of Brentwood but despite the flare-up, relentless air and ground assaults has led to increased containment of the fire," Bass said in the update. When asked about criticism from Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom who said on a podcast that he "wasn’t getting straight answers," from local leadership, Bass shot saying she has "no idea" what he's talking about. And addressing perceived friction between her and Fire Chief Kristin Crowley the two appeared side-by-side with Bass saying "The chief and I are in lock-step and if there are differences we have, we will deal with those in private."
