LA wildfires rage, thousands of residents forced to evacuate

Three wildfires are burning in Los Angeles County, including the Pacific Palisades and Sylmar neighborhoods of Los Angeles and another near the City of Pasadena. As of early Wednesday, the fires are zero percent contained, officials say. California Gov. Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency, warning that the worst of the winds were expected between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday. More than 30,000 residents are under evacuation orders and more than 200,000 people were without power in Los Angeles County by Tuesday evening.
