Labor's budget deficit expected to blow out

The government handed down its midyear budget update, which could be the last before the upcoming federal election. Labor’s budget update predicts that Australia won’t see another surplus for at least another decade. Labor says despite deficits deepening into the future, it's a better outcome than the Coalition could have produced.
