Labor's misinformation bill a ‘clear and present danger’ to democracy

Shadow Communications Minister David Coleman has called the Albanese Labor government's misinformation bill a “clear and present danger to our democracy”. His remarks come after the Labor Party announced a misinformation bill involving laws targeting false and misleading online content, as well as allowing the media watchdog to penalise social media platforms. Mr Coleman told Sky News Australia the bill has “no place" in our country and must be “defeated”.
