Labor announces ‘biggest shakeup’ of aviation in the ‘last 30 years’

Assistant Defence Minister Matt Thistlethwaite has commented on the “biggest shake-up” in the aviation sector in the “last 30 years”. The details of the federal government’s aviation white paper will be released on Monday. An aviation industry ombudsman will be introduced to enforce customer rights, including prompt refunds. “I think this is going to be the biggest shake-up in aviation for at least the last 30 years,” Mr Thistlethwaite told Sky News Australia. “What we’re proposing to do here is put customers first when it comes to our aviation sector.”
