Labor could have issued temporary humanitarian visas instead of visitor visas to Gazans

Sky News Political Reporter Andrew Clennell discusses the issue of Labor granting visitor visas to Palestinians fleeing Gaza. “There is one guy who knows what happened with these visitor visas who can’t be asked a question because he moved portfolios, it’s Andrew Giles,” Mr Clennell said. “It’s been put to me there was another option then visitor visas for the cohort of Palestinians, it’s a visa called 449 it’s a temporary humanitarian visa. “If they went down that route Andrew Giles would have been posted as the decision-maker for everyone.”
