Labor giving ‘mixed messages’ on cost of living relief

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the Labor government is giving “mixed messages” when it comes to cost of living relief. “Jim Chalmers seems to be telling journalists there will be some cost of living relief but we won’t be going over the top,” Mr Clennell told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “Inflation’s temporary and we’ll get GDP figures tomorrow. “I would’ve thought it’s probably time to flick the switch a little bit. “I know he wants a surplus, but I think you’ve got to give some relief especially in the energy bill space.”
