Labor government has a ‘complete lack of self-awareness’
The Australian’s Environment Editor Graham Lloyd says the Labor government has a “complete lack of self-awareness” on the agenda it pushes and the contradictory actions it takes. His comments follow the Labor government receiving backlash for both Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen taking two separate private jets from Canberra to a clean energy announcement in the Hunter Region of New South Wales. “What it displays is a complete lack of self-awareness on the part of the ruling class,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray. “That extends to taking the airfares and then subsidising rich people to build panels that we know are going to be more expensive than the things we can currently get from overseas, then presumably, subsidise households to buy them. “This looks like it has a lot more to do with politics than it does economics, I think we’re going to see more of it.”
