Labor government to ‘break their promise’ on negative gearing changes

Nationals Deputy leader Perin Davey has urged the Albanese government to “start being honest” with the Australian people. The federal government could be exploring its options ahead of possible changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax. “We know that they broke their promise on stage three tax cuts, they broke their promise not to touch superannuation and change the way superannuation is taxed, they broke their promise on not tweaking franking credits,” Ms Davey told Sky News Australia. “Now they are going to break their promise not to touch negative gearing.”
