Labor looking at ‘key areas’ for Australia to stand on its ‘own two feet’

Industry and Science Minister Ed Husic says the Labor government is looking at key areas which will allow Australia to stand on its “own two feet”. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced a $750 million fund that would back the metals industry during his visit to Western Australia. The announcement follows the Trump administration’s commencement of 25 per cent tariffs on steel and aluminium.
