St. Lucia's education and vocational training ministry, in partnership with the human capital resilience project, has launched a six-month labor market needs assessment survey. The ministry has enlisted Canadian consulting firm Dunn Pierre Barnett & CO. To assist with the study. Officials say the survey aims to identify current workforce demands and skills gaps in the local economy. The assessment is expected to inform future education and vocational training policies on the island. This initiative comes as St. Lucia seeks to align its workforce development strategies with evolving economic needs.
