Labor’s energy pathway will ‘overbuild’ and ‘overspend’

Shadow Energy Minister Ted O’Brien says “someone is going to have to pay” for the Labor government’s expensive and overbuilt energy system. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has ruled out lifting the Howard-era moratorium on nuclear power, stating the move 'makes no sense'. “If you accept Labor’s pathway and they think they are going to more than double the amount of electricity usage; you overbuild, you overspend,” Mr O’Brien told Sky News Australia.
