Labor savaged for ‘religious obsession’ with wind and solar energy

Liberal MP Zoe McKenzie labelled the Albanese government's continued push for renewable energy as “insane”. Opposition Leader Peter Dutton is expected to outline the Coalition’s nuclear energy policy before the May budget. “It is insane for us to have an almost religious obsession with solar and wind as though that’s going to be able to provide what we need in an ongoing way in every circumstance,” Ms McKenzie said. “You must have all options on the table. “The generation behind ours is actually quite comfortable with the notion of nuclear energy.”
