Labor think there’s ‘nothing wrong’ with Hamas sympathisers coming to Australia

Shadow Housing Minister Michael Sukkar says the Albanese government thinks there is “nothing wrong” with Hamas sympathisers coming to Australia. Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has argued Prime Minister Albanese misled parliament by quoting selectively from the ABC’s interview with ASIO Director-General Mike Burgess last week in terms of security checks on the Palestinians who came here. “They [the Labor government] have a cavalier attitude clearly to this issue,” Mr Sukkar told Sky News Australia. “They think there’s nothing wrong with bringing Hamas sympathisers and supporters, potentially, into this country. “That is the fundamental disagreement here.”
