The Labor Party will reportedly put Medicare at the centre of its re-election campaign. According to The Age, increases in bulk billing, the GP workforce and urgent-care clinics are expected to be key pillars of Anthony Albanese's pitch to voters. Labor aims to contrast its plan to Peter Dutton's actions as health minister - who attempted to cut rebates and introduce fees for seeing a GP. Shadow Health Minister Anne Ruston has accused the government of reviving the failed 'Mediscare' campaign from the 2016 election.
