The absence of sign language interpreters in health facilities and other essential services has hindered communication and access to care for persons living with hearing impairment. This was highlighted by various stakeholders during a dialogue aimed at discussing how people with hearing impairments can better access services in their communities, particularly in the area of sexual and reproductive health.
