Land conflict in Koboko District forces 513 residents to flee; 64 homes burnt, 14 arrested

At least 64 houses, crops, and animals have been burnt after a land conflict in Kela Village, Ludara Sub-county in Koboko District, between members of Igaba Clan and Gimere Clan. The dispute over the ownership of 5 acres of land started in 2003. The insecurity has forced about 513 people to flee their homes to Ururuja Village in Nyajo Parish. They have no shelter, food, and medical care.
