Landmines in Ukraine: Civilians suffer the consequences of landmine use

Washington has agreed to send anti-personnel landmines to Ukraine, in an attempt to slow the Russian advance. Rights groups have criticised the decision. Ukraine is now the most mined country in the world. But neither the US nor Russia are signatories to the Ottawa treaty, which bans the use of landmines.
