Lara And Latapy In Golf Qualifiers

World record holder for the highest Test score, Brian Lara, and former Soca Warriors captain Russell Latapy are among the field of 32 male golfers and six women competing in the Trinidad and Tobago Golf Association’s qualifying tournament to represent T&T at the Caribbean Golf Association’s 4-ball Championships to be played in October in Tobago. Lara and his playing partner Courtney Edwards set out on the final day of the two-day trials at the St. Andrews Golf Club in Moka, leading the 16-pairs of men’s qualifiers. Latapy and TTGA president Wayne Baptiste were playing catch-up to secure the qualifying spots. Lara and Latapy are seeking qualification in the Men’s 35 years and over category to compete for the Ramon Baez Romano Trophy.
