LCBO deal: Promise made to keep stores open even if revenues flatline, memorandum shows
As LCBO stores are set to reopen across Ontario on Tuesday following a two-week-long strike, more information about the new agreement ratified on Sunday is emerging. The LCBO has committed to keeping 680 of its retail locations open until 2027 and will launch a task force to examine the impacts of the Ford government’s access-to-alcohol policies. While the details of the deal have not been publicized, Global News has obtained a memorandum of settlement that was signed by both sides on Friday. Colin D’Mello has details on the new deal and the concessions that were made to get striking workers back on the job.
