Leaders of UK, Italy taking similar 'offshoring' approaches to processing migrants

The UK's House of Lords is debating the country's controversial Rwanda Bill, which would allow migrants to be sent to the African nation in a process known as "offshoring". Italy, meanwhile, has developed a similar plan to process migrants in nearby Albania – a reflection of the close collaboration between the countries on the issue of migration.
