Leaders oppose plans to toll the Dongo Kundu bypass road

Plans to have motorists pay to use the Dongo Kundu bypass have been met with strong opposition by leaders in Kwale county who say taxpayers' money has already been used to finance the project and improve their lives. This comes just two days after motorists started using the road that connects Mombasa and Kwale counties, which they say saves a lot of time allowing for ease in conducting business instead of crossing via the Likoni Ferry.
