Learnership to address Hammanskraal water crisis
The Tshwane Council says that a newly-launched water learnership programme in Hammanskraal will help bridge the gap between communities and government to ensure the provision of clean water. The program initiation by Lentle Performance Improvement and Development Consulting will offer a 12 month learnership national certificate on community water, health and sanitation monitoring. It’s being funded by the Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority to help unemployed youngsters to get experience in water quality assurance. Hammanskraal has been in the spotlight with water issues for years due to the malfunctioning Rooiwal water treatment plant and it was the epicenter of a cholera outbreak last year. Courtesy #DStv403
