Leave no child behind: UNICEF faces growing challenges around the world

For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video For over 70 years, UNICEF has been working to help children around the globe, but those efforts are becoming more challenging with growing conflicts and hostilities hindering humanitarian assistance. CGTN's Tian Wei sat down for an exclusive interview with Catherine Russell, UNICEF's executive director since 2022. On a recent trip to Ningxia in northwest China, Russell noted the love and compassion shown to children by Chinese social workers. She said the country is making great progress in caring for its impoverished children. Russell also spoke about the challenges UNICEF faces in conflict areas around the world but reiterated that the organization will always regard children first and continue its mission so that no child is left behind.
