Licence plate manufacturers to register with BLA

Effective December 2nd, all manufacturers of registration number plates will be required to register annually with the Barbados Licensing Authority. This is according to a recent amendment to Section 10B of the Road Traffic Act, Cap 295. Chief Licensing Officer Treca McCarthy-Broome says from Monday, the BLA will also begin accepting applications from existing vehicle registration plate manufacturers and new businesses interested in becoming plate manufacturers. The cost to register is $500, with an annual renewal fee of $250 once approved.
