Lidia Thorpe ‘disobeyed’ her oath by yelling ‘obscenities’ at the King

Menzies Research Centre Senior Fellow Nick Cater slams Senator Lidia Thorpe labelling her as “unkempt and unprincipled” after she yelled “obscenities” at the King during a ceremony at Parliament House. “I am really astounded that the Senate can’t get together and vote her out,” Mr Cater told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “She did take a loyal oath, albeit through gritted teeth, to the sovereign to the crown and clearly disobeyed that and clearly showed she did not believe that one inch by her outrageous behaviour this week. “This very unkempt, unprincipled woman stands up and starts yelling obscenities at the King and she is a member of our parliament – I’m embarrassed by that, quite frankly.”
