Lightning kills player during soccer match in Peru, local media reports

A Peruvian local league soccer player from Familia Chocca team was killed by a lightning strike on Sunday (November 3) during a match in Huancayo, according to Peruvian state news agency Andina. The match had been suspended due to a thunderstorm, but as players were exiting the field, lightning struck player Hugo de la Cruz Meza, 39, also injuring four other players, Andina said.
