Liquor and Gaming NSW teases crackdown on mixed alcoholic drinks

Draft guidelines by the Liquor and Gaming Authority aim to regulate alcoholic beverages whose taste profile could be appealing to minors. The Liquor and Gaming Authority will monitor the taste profile of mixed drinks that resemble anything overly sweet or fruity, or "confectionary or dessert-based" flavours sold at local bottle shops. Alcoholic ginger beer, flavoured vodka and bourbon mixed with cola are also among the drinks that could be axed from menus in New South Wales.
