A shooting at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, on Monday, left at least three people dead, including the suspected shooter, and six others injured. Police responded at 10:57 a.m. to the Abundant Life Christian School, where they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Three people have died, including the juvenile believed to be the shooter, and six others were hurt, police said. Injuries ranged from minor to life-threatening. (Note: Police previously said five people were dead, but police have corrected this to say three people are dead — police erroneously said five were dead at the press conference.) The suspected shooter was a student at the school, police said. Police located the suspected shooter dead in the building. "Every child, every person in that building is a victim and will be a victim forever," Chief Shon F. Barnes of the Madison Police Department said. It remains an active and ongoing investigation. SSM Health Dean Medical Group East on Stoughton Road is being used as the family reunification center, the Dane County Sheriff's Office says. Meanwhile, roads are blocked off along 4900 Buckeye Road. Drivers and people are asked to avoid the area. Local perspective: The school is a Christian school that is not under the authority of the public school system. What we don't know: Police did not reveal who the victims were, other than saying the suspected shooter was a juvenile. Police are still clearing the school to ensure there are no further threats, police said during the 12:15 p.m. briefing.
