The trial for the man accused of killing a former NFL and OU football player continues today. Du'Vonta Lampkin was killed in May of 2022. Two men, Antwan Franklin and Erick Garcia, are accused of killing the former football player for a backpack full of cash that prosecutors said they stole. After being arrested for the murder and released on bond, Franklin was on the run for more than a year. During Wednesday's testimony, prosecutors painted the 24-year-old as the mastermind behind the robbery and murder. He's on trial for capital murder.
