French President Emmanuel Macron and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo join those paying tribute and holding a moment of silence for the victims of the deadly attack at the offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine ten years ago. In January 2015, Cherif and Said Kouachi, two French-born al-Qaida extremists angered by caricatures depicting Muhammad the magazine published, stormed its newsroom and killed 12 people, including the chief editor, several cartoonists and police officer Ahmed Merabet.
