The Israeli army's chief of staff, Herzl Halevi, said on Tuesday that "the war in Gaza is expected to continue for many more months." A day earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured the northern Gaza Strip and vowed to continue the fight. At least 20,915 people were killed and 54,918 others injured in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, the Gazan health ministry said on Tuesday.
