LIVE Replay: ‘Rust’ Movie Set Shooting Trial — NM v. Hannah Gutierrez

Alec Baldwin’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, faced trial in February for manslaughter in connection to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust” in 2021. Witnesses took the stand and described the chaotic nature of the set, claiming negligence was rampant. Gutierrez was described as “careless” by the prosecution, while experts said there was no way the gun fired on its own, stating Baldwin had to pull the trigger. Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Alec Baldwin faces trial on July 9 for the same charge after being indicted in January.
