Live: The opening ceremony of the seventh Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo

The opening ceremony of the seventh Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo is scheduled to take place on September 21, 2024, in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China. This year’s expo centers around the theme “Implementing the Global Civilization Initiative and Deepening Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Civilizations.” Since its inception in 2016, the Silk Road International Expo has successfully held six sessions, significantly contributing to the promotion of cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and fostering cultural exchanges among countries along the historic Silk Road. During the seventh Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo, approximately 18 events—including exhibitions, art performances, cultural forums, and business activities are scheduled to take place in Dunhuang. Around 800 officials, scholars, and distinguished guests from across the globe have been invited to participate. As with previous editions, this year’s Expo will continue to promote cultural exchanges and development, as well as foster business cooperation and prosperity.
