Livestock farmers in Kajiado, Laikipia, and other arid counties are raising alarm over the devastating impact of invasive plant species, particularly a type of cactus from the ipomoea family. The plants are destroying pasturelands vital for livestock survival. Over three million acres in Kajiado county alone have already been taken over, posing a direct threat to livelihood.
